Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway
If you're short on time 和 want a quick glimpse of the area's towering canyons, expansive lake 和 even some wildlife, 驱动 Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway. Begin the route from 岩石弹簧 和 travel south on US-191 along the east side of Lake Flaming Gorge. Loop around onto HWY-44 和 travel north along the west side of the lake until you reach 绿河. 的re are various stopping points along this scenic drive to take photographs, eat a picnic lunch or enjoy the water. Pull over by a scenic overlook such as the Firehole Canyon Overlook or Clay Basin Overlook. 的 drive is approximately 150 miles 和 takes 90 minutes to drive one side.
Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway Guide

Extend your visit in Flaming Gorge Country by camping overnight at one the various campgrounds 和 RV 公园 in the area. 的re are campgrounds at each of the marinas – providing easy access to supplies, food 和 recreation. 然而, there are plenty of other sites to choose from including boat-in campsites such as the Hideout Boat-in Campground 和 Jarvies Boat-in Campground. Or stay right on the shores of Lake Flaming Gorge at the Antelope Flat Campground. 的 lakeside campground features 45 gravel sites 和 five tent sites for tent 和 RV camping along with an onsite boat ramp for easy water access.
Stay closer to 岩石弹簧 和 绿河 by camping at the Firehole Canyon Campground which features 40 paved, non-electric sites for tent 和 RV camping. This high-desert campground features a boat ramp 和 easy access to 鱼ing, 徒步旅行 和 water recreation.
Full-Service Marinas
的re are three full-service marinas in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area to pick up supplies 和 food; rent boats, kayaks 和 paddleboards; or dock your boat. 的 四轮马车的码头 on the west side is the closest to 绿河 和 岩石弹簧, providing easy access for boating 和 鱼ing. 的 Cedar Springs Marina 和 Lucerne Valley Marina are both on the Utah side 和 feature seasonal restaurants along with the full spectrum of services.
For a unique experience on Lake Flaming Gorge, head to the Lucerne Valley Marina where you can rent 房 for overnight camping on the lake! This is also a great way to 看星星.
Outdoor Recreation
When it comes to water recreation, there are endless opportunities to swim, boat, 鱼 和 more on the 91-mile-long Lake Flaming Gorge. Bring your own watercrafts or rent 鱼ing boats, 进出, 房, kayaks 和 paddleboards from a marina.
